Red-bearded Thor, the favourite Viking god, with his supernatural strength and feisty humour was the people's champion. When he swung his hammer, Mjolnir, Thor was invincible. Small hammers were often worn as tokens of identification and loyalty. On this hammer, Mjolnir is spelled out in Viking Runes.
